Gentle, Angry Women to be launched 26th September.

Gentle, Angry Women is the first documentary to be showcased by Folklife Films. Funded by the BFI Young Audience Content Development Fund, Cultivator, Good Growth, and the People’s Postcode Lottery, and supported by Canon UK and Falmouth University's Sound/Image Cinema Lab, we premiered the film to an invited audience on 1 July 2025 at the Newlyn Filmhouse, with the three young women who feature in the film and director Barbara Santi for the Q&A. It has sparked many interesting conversations!

The film is currently being submitted to international film festivals, and a UK mini tour is now being planned, starting at Newlyn Filmhouse on 26 September, coinciding with the International Day of the Total Elimination of Nuclear Weapons - more details to follow.
